About me


My name is Shane Dippery — I’m a 2x nationally qualified strongman, winner of the 2024 Pennsylvania’s Strongest Man competition, and the founder of MUTANT STRENGTH.

With over five years of coaching experience and a lifelong dedication to strength training, I specialize in helping individuals achieve real, lasting progress in strongman, powerlifting, weight loss, and general fitness. My approach combines proven programming, hands-on guidance, and a no-nonsense mentality to help clients and athletes unlock their full potential — whether they’re stepping into the gym for the first time or preparing for elite-level competition.

Why “Mutant” Strength?

Growing up, I never really fit in; anywhere. as a result, I heavily related to Marvel Comics’ X-Men; being individuals labeled as mutants, that were constantly cast aside, ignored, hated, etc. Carrying this feeling into my adult life, that feeling has never left me; so I decided to do something about it. This is where Mutant Strength comes in.

The goal of Mutant Strength, truly is inclusivity. To provide a place that nobody ever feels unwelcome, out of place, anxious, etc. A place for the outcasts, where fitting in isn’t important; showing up, working hard, and consistently holding each other accountable, to become the best versions of ourselves.

We are building a community.
